Lost In Yonkers

Directed By Ensemble Member Steve Scott
Summer 2003

It's the early 1940s in New York and the country is at war. When the father of young Jay and Arty has to go on a prolonged business trip through the southern states, he leaves his sons with his mother, who owns a candy store in Yonkers. Grandma, Bella, and her gangster brother, Louie, teach the two boys a few lessons about life. Ensemble Member and Goodman Theatre Associate Producer Steve Scott, who has previously staged Eclipse's smash hits of Eccentricities of Nightingale and Childe Byron returns to direct Simon's semi-autobiographical piece.
